PD Power Systems receives $482M maximum indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract award to develop new U.S. Air Force ground power unit
SPRINGFIELD, VA November 18, 2022 – PD Power Systems, LLC, a privately held Veteran-Owned Small Business, announced today that it received a $482,000,000 maximum Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity contract award for 72-kilowatt ground power units. The selection of PD Power Systems is the result of a competitive acquisition, where eight offers were received by the United States Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia.
This contract provides for development, testing and production of 72kW ground power units, along with associated data deliverables including: test reports, provisioning, and technical manuals. Work will be performed in Springfield, Virginia, and deliveries will continue through November 2032.

PD Power Systems’ relationship with the United States Air Force was established decades ago through the support of the Harvest Falcon Harvest Eagle program where we supplied thousands of power generation and distribution products, as we continue currently to do so in many existing task orders. Similar ground power units were also engineered by PD Power Systems in support of the Boeing F15 aircraft on a US Air Force program as well, which is also currently in production.
