Las Vegas, NV, 18 September 2025 – PD Power Systems exhibited the 72kW Ground Power Unit (GPU) at the annual International Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Expo, held this year in Las Vegas, Nevada. The International GSE Expo is a leading networking event for information, products, services, and technology in the ground support equipment industry.
More than 3,000 attendees and 200 exhibitors were expected to attend the event. PD Power Systems’ 72kW GPU was produced for the Combat Readiness Directorate of the United States Air Force (USAF), designed to provide stand-alone external ground power to all aircraft in the USAF inventory.
In addition to the 72kW GPU, PD Power Systems also produces the 38kWe GPU Lite and the Apex 150kWe GPU. Like the 72kW GPU, both the 38kWe Lite and the Apex 150kWe have been designed for use in harsh desert and arctic environments, compliant with MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461F, while providing dependable power.
Attention has been given to using components that are already part of the DoD logistics footprint to ensure reliance on existing infrastructures to support missions. PD Power Systems plans to exhibit more of these ground power support products at future GSE Expo events.
